Black Flake

It's back - We had a game getting this made up again. It's a shrimp feed basically. Shrimp have thin stomach walls so black feed can be easily seen. What we found was livebearers took this with Spirulina flake. This is basically an Artemia (brine shrimp) based product
This is a very fine flake & not something you get in big flake. This is something for small or young fish.

Immune Booster Flake

This is a great flake to help fish which are sick or needing something to boost their immune system. The main active ingredient is Beta glucan which has been proven to aid sick fish get well faster. Also useful if you buy new fish to quarantine.
We do not recommend using this flake as a daily feed otherwise it will not be as effective when the fish get disease problems.

Spirulina & Garlic + Flake

One of our own blends containing 50% Spirulina & 50% Garlic flakes. This is ideal for fish requiring a vegetarian diet including Rift Lake cichlids in this band.
Spirulina is well known to contain most of the vitamins & minerals vegetarian fish require. The garlic acts in cleaning out the long intestinal tract which is a characteristic with veggie fish. The length of the intestine is a good indicator of diet - a short one means a predator taking high animal protein (fish etc) & a long one for veggie fish. Veggie material takes longer to process in the gut hence the length of it. Feeding high animal proteins to a fish with a long intestine causes food to fester in the gut as it takes too long to pass through. Garlic helps in cleaning this out & prevents 'Malawi Bloat'.

This algae has various properties including helping fish to increase disease resistance. 	Marine Flake Designed for marine fish but a look through the ingredients will show a lot of really useful additions for Rift Lake Cichlids. Really nice smell. 	Garlic Flake The medicinal properties of Garlic are not generally known. It contains allicin which is created when the bulb is damaged or crushed. This has known properties as an anti-microbial which destoys some bacteria. This is destroyed at pH 3 but it's unlikely you would keep fish at these levels. Other properties of Garlic are still being discovered. Some fish keepers use it to prevent internal worms. Marine keepers have found it useful in preventing White Spot (Ichthyophthirius). Marine customers have reported Anthias, large Queen Angel, Tangs & Emporer Angels take it. 200g size	Earthworm Flake In the past we have tried this flake from sources where the colour was very thin, pale & insipid looking. About the same colour as our background here. Not this product. The colour is a lovely rich brown colour & the smell is really fresh. This is a great flake if you are conditioning fish up for breeding. This, mosquito larvae & Bloodworm are some of the best foods to get fish into breeding condition. This is a rich food which should not be fed exclusively. For general tropicals a couple of times a week is ideal. Daphnia - Micro Flakes - 57g

We've not seen Daphnia in flake form before but we have it now. Really nice smell to this flake. If we can smell it so can the fish.
The live Daphnia we feed to our fish is the same colour as this flake.
Naturally enriched with Blue-Green Algae. Contains no artificial binders or ingredients. This is not the usual dried dust normally seen. Daphnia is not easy to freeze dry & here we have a great product put into mini flakes. These flakes are a new way in feeding Daphnia. The rich smell on opening the pot tells me this product is a winner in being taken up by your fish.
It was slow to move at first as aquarists consider dried Daph to look like dust & be useless. Now it's starting to catch on & we are selling good numbers.
Can be crushed & added to your own made up blends. Suitable for fresh & saltwater reef fish.
