This is an organically produced product.
This is a single celled green algae. When dried it can give - 45% protein, 20% fat, 20% carbohydrate,
5% fibre, and 10% minerals.
This can be mixed with our Red Astax grade 3 to make into a paste to make balls or wafers.
This is more expensive to buy in than Spirulina powder.

Egg Yolk Powder

Not easy to get hold of. This is spray dried egg yolk with nothing added & nothing taken away. This is a fantastic food for fry of egglayers especially those with small fry. We used this some years ago with great results but had a real job finding it again without additional vitamins or minerals.
We recommend feeding this on its own or with our GP 5 - 50 grade.
Also good in maintaining a Paramecium culture.

Phaffia Yeast Powder

Rich in Carotenoids including Astaxanthin. This product is an anti-oxidant which enhances colour.
This small tub can treat over 5kg of feed.
The colour of this powder is really deep, rich red.
We keep this refrigerated.

Protein 25%; Carbohydrate 37%; Lipids 21%; Moisture 8%; Astaxanthin 1%

Carophyll Pink

An additive which is 10 times stronger than Astaxanthin powder. This is dimethyl-disuccinate which is hydrolized into astaxanthin in the gastrointestinal tract & is absorbed as astaxanthin.
Used in many foods now in place of Astaxanthin. This one tube treats about 10 kilo's of feed.
Even in our fish sheds this is fantastic value.
Dose rate 138 mg / kg of feedstuff.

Astaxanthin Powder
A highly concentrated fine powder which can be mixed with other foods to make up a paste. The Red Granular Crumb foods on this site (under 'dried foods' ) are mixed with Astaxanthin to give it the rich colour it has. It is regarded as one of the more powerful carotenoids.
Astaxanthin is produced by the micro algae Haematococcus pluvialis. This product is processed from algae farmed in Hawaii & is considered to be the best in the world. Commercial dose rate 5 kg per metric ton. This equates down to 5 parts per thousand or 5:1000. 5 grms is sufficient to add to 1 kg of feed. This pack will make up to 10 kgs of feed.
This food is a powerful anti-oxidant. One comprehensive study found astaxanthin to be 10 times as effective as beta-carotene (and approx 100 times more effective than vitamin E) (Di Mascio et al . 1991).
